North Pacific Charters is owned and operated by Dan Leathers. Dan holds a USCG 100 Ton Masters Certificate and has been a charter fishing veteran of the Ketchikan area for over 20 years. Dan grew up in Washington at the mouth of the Columbia River and has fished or boated all of the navigable Columbia and Snake Rivers, as well as the Washington Coast, Puget Sound, outside and inside Vancouver Island and all of the Inside Passage of Southeast Alaska to the north end of Prince of Wales Island.
 

The “Kisutch”
Begin your Alaskan fishing or sightseeing adventure aboard The Kisutch, (a 35 foot custom JC boat with a 6 person fishing capacity), where you will find first class service as well as comfort. The Kisutch carries a 5 star (top) rating under the U.S. Coast Guard safety rating system. The Kisutch, (which means coho salmon...and is pronouced "kissootch"), is powered by a 400 hp diesel engine and cruises at 21 knots, which is comfortable and safe under ALL weather conditions. Even in choppy waters, the Kisutch is a smooth ride! The only vessel in the Ketchikan fleet specifically built for fishing AND sightseeing, the Kisutch is also equipped with state of the art Raytheon navigation and fishing electronics. A complete fishing package will include an experienced, licensed crew, fishing gear, tackle and bait, snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic), raingear (if needed), fish cleaning and arrangements for custom fish processing.
